FpsPing

by kvapilvaclav0

FpsPing shows a small frame rate and server latency readout in one corner of the screen, toggled with G, on Minecraft 1.21.8 – 1.21.11 with Fabric.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.8 – 1.21.11

What it does

The FPS figure matches the value shown by the F3 overlay. The ping is read from the same player list that the Tab menu uses. In singleplayer, the ping line shows SP instead of 0 ms, since no network round trip takes place.

Both values are colored by threshold: green for about 60 FPS or 60 ms, yellow for around 30 FPS or 150 ms, orange for around 15 FPS or 300 ms, and red for anything worse. The panel can be hidden with G, which needs no rebind screen, and it hides automatically when F1 hides the rest of the HUD. The mod requires Fabric API and runs on the client alone. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source in the catalog's sense. The latest build, 1.0.0, is for 1.21.11.

Key features

  1. Top-right readout

A small two-line panel shows only the frame rate and server latency, leaving the rest of the screen clear.

  2. Color-coded thresholds

Green, yellow, orange and red shading marks how each value compares to typical playable levels.

  3. Single-key toggle

Pressing G shows or hides the panel, using a key binding that needs no configuration screen.

  4. Automatic hiding with F1

The panel disappears when the F1 key hides the HUD, so screenshots stay clean.
