TargetLock

by kvapilvaclav0

TargetLock lets a player press J to snap the camera onto the nearest living entity within 10 blocks.

FabricClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21.8 – 1.21.11

What it does

Pressing J aims the camera at the closest living entity inside a 10-block radius, so a player can keep a mob or other creature in view without turning by hand. An action bar notice appears on screen to confirm the lock or to report that nothing is in range. Pressing J again changes the setting, and the lock works only inside the 10-block radius.

The mod is a small client-side addition with no blocks, items or recipes. Fabric API must be installed beside it, and the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Files exist for 1.21.8, 1.21.9, 1.21.10 and 1.21.11, with 1.0.0 for 1.21.11 as the latest file. Only the player's own game is affected, so servers run without it.

Key features

  1. Instant camera aim

Pressing J turns the camera toward the nearest living entity in range without manual turning.

  2. Range limit

Targeting covers living entities within a 10-block radius, so distant creatures are ignored.

  3. Action bar message

A notice in the action bar reports the lock state or that no entity is within range.

  4. Lock and change settings

Pressing J locks the nearest entity and changes the setting on the next press.
