FFBandage

by Fyxe

Players who are hurt in combat or while exploring can use FFBandage, which adds a bandage that restores health over a short hold.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 26.3

What it does

The mod adds a bandage that is crafted from paper and a stick, with a recipe that follows the normal crafting grid. Holding right-click on the bandage works like eating food: after about a second the bandage heals the player, and the item is used up. The amount healed is a random value between a minimum and a maximum, and the hold time is set in the configuration. In Creative mode the bandage is not consumed. The Combat tab of the Creative inventory holds the bandage item.

The mod needs Fabric API on Fabric, and it runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Builds cover 1.20.1 – 26.3, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. The code is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. The mod does not include an API for other mods, and it has no special compatibility work with other mods. The recipe can be replaced through a datapack like any vanilla recipe, and the healing settings can be changed in the config file.

Key features

  1. Crafted bandage

The bandage uses a paper and stick recipe, so it can be made early in survival without rare materials.

  2. Hold-to-use healing

Players hold right-click on the bandage for a short time, then it heals and is used up.

  3. Random healing amount

Each use heals a random amount between a configurable minimum and maximum.

  4. Configurable settings

The minimum and maximum heal and the hold duration can be changed in the configuration file.

Questions

Does FFBandage need Fabric API?

Yes. Fabric API is required on Fabric. The mod has files for Forge and NeoForge as well, and those do not need it.

Does the server need FFBandage?

Yes. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too.

Can the bandage recipe be changed?

Yes. The recipe is a normal crafting recipe that a datapack can replace, as with vanilla recipes.

What the author says

Scraped a knee on a skeleton? Patch yourself up! FF Bandage adds a simple bandage you craft from paper and a stick. Hold it for a moment and it heals you a little. No potions, no food, just a quick bit of first aid. FF Bandage Mod doesn't have any special compatibility with other mods.
