FCompat_VanillaPlus
by Fyxe
FCompat_VanillaPlus is a compatibility layer that connects several other mods bundled in a modpack, so their features work together in one setup.
What it does
Installed on Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1 – 1.20.4, the mod links modpack content with mods it is built to work alongside. Its recipes and integrations let an Exposure Lightroom block be crafted with a Hardcore Torches Lit Lantern, and let backpacks from INMIS be made with a chest from VariantVanillaBlocks.
Compatibility also covers fletching tables from Better Fletching Tables, which can take the wood variants added by VariantVanillaBlocks, and Farmer's Delight, which is set up to work alongside Fish Thieves. A tips layer from Using Tips explains the newer features where they are less obvious. Both client and server need the mod, so the setup stays consistent for every player on a server that runs it.
Key features
Exposure Lightroom recipe
The Exposure Lightroom block can be crafted with a Hardcore Torches Lit Lantern as one of its ingredients.
Fish slices
Fish can be cut into slices, which are new items that take the place of raw fish in recipes where raw fish is used.
Cooking for fish slices
Fish slices can be cooked in a furnace, smoker or campfire, and both the cooked and raw variants can be eaten.
Backpack crafting
INMIS backpacks are crafted using a chest from VariantVanillaBlocks, linking the two mods' content.
