ExtraQuests [FTB Quests]
by Vecoo
ExtraQuests adds extra task types, rewards and reward functions to FTB Quests, so a quest line can track more kinds of player progress.
What it does
Tasks can be set up with key-value values, which lets a quest follow a player's development progress in a precise way. Rewards can carry the same key-value pairs as the tasks they belong to, so a reward matches the type of work it pays out for. Quests can also be built for progressive play, where a chain of tasks has to be completed in different categories before the next stage opens.
Daily and weekly tasks reset on a schedule, so players keep receiving resources without the quest line being finished. A reward can run a console command on the server, which lets quests trigger effects added by other mods or plugins. The mod includes improvements for SDM Shop integration, so shop purchases can count toward quest progress.
ExtraQuests is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across five release versions, 1.12.2 – 1.21.1, and runs on client and server. It requires ExtraLib on every loader, and msp is one mod in the catalog that depends on it. The code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Key-value tasks
Tasks store key-value settings, so a quest can track a specific measure of a player's progress.
Matching rewards
Rewards use the same key-value pairs as tasks of the same type, keeping each payout tied to the work it follows.
Daily and weekly tasks
Scheduled tasks reset on a set cycle, so resources keep arriving over time without a fixed end point.
Console command rewards
A reward can run a console command, so quests can trigger effects from other mods or server plugins.
