SDM Shop (Legacy)
by Sixik
SDM Shop, a multifunctional shop mod for building an economy on a modpack or server, lets players buy and sell items, tags, commands and other rewards.
What it does
Shop entries can cover single items, whole item tags, commands, achievements, biome or structure locations, and experience or levels. Each entry sets what a player can sell or buy, so the shop works as the core trade system of a world. Its design draws on the shops of earlier economy mods for the same purpose.
Integrations extend the shop with stage and quest gating, quest rewards, skill points, and Mana And Artifice factions, levels, progression and tiers, so prices can depend on what a player has reached. Two catalog mods require SDM Shop: SDM Shop Pay and ItemToCoin. Both the server and every player need the mod, and builds exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 1.18.2 – 1.21.3. The license is custom and the mod is not open source.
Key features
Item and tag trading
Players can sell or buy individual items, or every item that belongs to a tag, from one shop list.
Command and achievement rewards
A shop entry can run a command or grant an achievement when a trade happens.
Location-based entries
Entries can depend on locating a biome or structure, so trades appear as players explore.
Experience and level trading
Experience points or levels can serve as a currency for purchases and sales.
Stage and quest gating
Stages and quests can control which shop entries a player sees.
Skill point integration
Passive skill points can be spent or earned through shop entries.

Use cases
Modpack economy
Modpack authors can build a shop that ties prices and rewards to quests and progression.
Server marketplace
Server owners can run a shared shop where every player trades against the same entries.
Who it’s for: Modpack authors and server owners who want a configurable shop, with progression-based trades and integrations for quests, stages and skills.
How it compares
ExtraQuests is a quest mod, not a shop, with files for 1.12.2 – 1.21.1 under the MIT License and open source. Simple Economy is server-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for NeoForge on 1.21.1, so players need nothing installed. CC Shops is also open source under the MIT License, with files for Forge and NeoForge across 1.18.2 – 1.20.1.
