Simple Economy
by SenNerd
Simple Economy gives a NeoForge server a coin balance for each player, a shop system, and an admin-managed economy, with 1.21.1 as its only game version.
What it does
Each player keeps a coin balance that persists across sessions. New players receive a configurable starting amount, and server owners can set a tax on shop sales, 5% by default. A leaderboard command shows the richest players on the server.
Players create and manage their own shops. A shop browser opens a chest-based interface where other players can look through listings, and a quantity adjustment lets buyers choose how many items to purchase before paying. Admins can mark shops as featured to highlight them in the browser.
Simple Economy runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything, and the mod is open source under the MIT License. It is published for NeoForge only, with version 1.0.0 for 1.21.1 as the single file, dated 2026-02-07. Java 21 is required. The mod is a required dependency of TABSimpleEconomyBridge.
Key features
Persistent player balances
Each player's coin balance is saved and carried over when they reconnect to the server.
Configurable starting balance
Server owners set how many coins a new player receives when they first join.
Shop sales tax
A percentage of each shop sale can be taken as tax, configured per server.
Chest-based shop browser
Shops are listed in a chest-style menu, so players browse the economy with an interface familiar from vanilla.
Bulk buying
Buyers pick the quantity of an item before confirming a purchase, rather than buying one unit at a time.
Featured shops
Admins can highlight selected shops so they appear first for players browsing the server.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners running NeoForge 1.21.1 who want a player shop system with a coin balance. Players only need the vanilla client to use it.
How it compares
EconomyRPG targets NeoForge 1.21.11 and is server-side only, under All rights reserved, so it does not cover 1.21.1. DanConomy is server-side only on NeoForge 1.21.1 under All rights reserved and is not open source. Tyco is an MIT-licensed NeoForge 1.21.1 mod that runs on both client and server, so every player must install it, unlike Simple Economy.
