Tyco
Tyco is a NeoForge economy mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that adds a player-driven coin currency, with a banker block, a shop block and a data-driven recipe system for prices and conversions.
What it does
Players earn and spend coins through a six-tier currency system. Ore and log generator blocks consume coins to produce resources, and a seller block converts items into coins. A banker block exchanges coins between tiers, and a shop block lets players browse and buy listed items. Tyco ships with a working default economy, including vanilla ore and log recipes, and sample shop entries work right after installation, so a server can run without any setup.
Everything beyond the defaults is optional. Modpack developers can add, remove or override recipes, prices and shop categories through datapacks or KubeJS, without touching Java code. Recipes are written in the tyco:banking type, and the banker's conversion ratios are read from live config values, so changes apply without a recipe reload. The mod can also be paired with a custom currency item instead of the built-in coins, so a modpack's own economy can sit on top of it.
Tyco is released for NeoForge only, with one game version, 1.21.1. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source code and issue tracker are public. The latest file, 0.3.0, was published on 2026-07-20 on the beta channel.
