Cosmere
by leafreynolds
Cosmere brings the magic systems of Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere universe into Minecraft, with powers drawn from several of its worlds.
What it does
Players can become a Mistborn and consume certain metals to burn them for power-based abilities, and access feruchemical abilities by storing attributes in metal. Twinborn compounding lets the two systems meet in one character. Sand Mastery manipulates white sand at a cost to the user's internal water supply, and the Stormlight Archive section lets players earn trust with a Radiant spren to gain access to order ranks. Warbreaker's biochromatic breath and Elantris's Planet Sel progression are also represented.
The mod is open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It is published for Forge and NeoForge, covering 1.19.2 and 1.20.1, with the latest 0.7.113 file for 1.20.1 dated 2026-06-29 on the alpha channel. Curios API is required, and Allomancy, Feruchemy, Hemalurgy, Aviar and Sand Mastery are among the eight other mods that depend on Cosmere.
Key features
Allomantic metals
Metals are burned to gain power-based abilities, starting with access to the basic allomantic ability set.
Feruchemical storage
Feruchemical abilities store and release attributes, and the pieces fit together with the allomantic system.
Sand Mastery
White sand can be manipulated, with the effects tied to the user's internal water supply.
Radiant progression
Earning trust with a Radiant spren grants access to order ranks, following the Stormlight Archive setting.

How it compares
Metalborn is a Forge and NeoForge mod for 1.20.1 under the MIT License, also open source and also client and server. Metallics Arts is a Forge mod for 1.19 – 1.19.4 under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, open source and client and server, so it covers different versions than Cosmere.
