Cobbreeding
by ludichat31
Cobbreeding is a side-mod for Cobblemon that lets Pokémon breed in the pasture from early in a playthrough, with inherited IVs, natures, moves, balls and shininess.
What it does
When two compatible Pokémon are placed together in a pasture, they can breed even when different players own them. The resulting egg appears in the pasture block, and a player can pick it up from the bottom of the block. Eggs kept in a player inventory hatch as time passes; the timer pauses while an egg sits outside an inventory.
Offspring inherit IVs, including the effects of Power items, and natures, which include the Everstone effect. Egg moves are passed on from every move the parents have ever learned, so they do not need to be equipped. Pokéballs are inherited too. Regional forms come directly from the parents instead of being decided by the biome, and Everstone is not implemented as a separate rule. Mirror Herb teaches egg moves.
Hidden abilities have a small random chance of appearing in offspring, and a parent that carries its hidden ability passes it on normally. Shiny hunting follows methods similar to Masuda or Gen 2 shiny breeding. Cobbreeding runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It targets Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and the code is open source under the MIT License.

Who it’s for: Players who want Pokémon breeding in Cobblemon sooner, and server owners running Cobblemon who want that breeding available to all players.
How it compares
Cobblemon Shiny Days is server-side only, open source under the MIT License, and published for 1.21.1 on Fabric and NeoForge. Cobblemon Pasture Loot is a Fabric-only server mod for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later, and the server needs it while clients may leave it out. Cobbreeding covers the pasture breeding side and needs client and server.
