CFX is a Fabric and Quilt mod that patches several hazardous exploits in Minecraft Java Edition, including some that Mojang has not fixed yet.
What it does
Some exploits in the game are still open in the latest version, and some are only closed in later releases, so older versions remain exposed. CFX targets a set of the more hazardous ones, covering the mainline versions and several superseded builds such as 1.14, 1.14.1 and 1.15.1. The author notes that the mod is only partially patched in some places and that contributions are welcome to complete it.
CFX works on its own and does not require any part of a larger package of mods. Either side can run it, and neither needs it. Files are published for Fabric and Quilt across 36 release versions, 1.14 – 1.21.4, and the mod is open source under the MIT License. Fabric API and Cotton Client Commands are optional dependencies.
