WNT
by Video
WNT is a Video client mod for Fabric and Quilt that bundles several niche utilities for technically inclined players and administrators.
What it does
Its utilities cover unusual client-side needs: disabling certain rendering, dropping particular incoming packets, disconnecting from the server currently joined, and forcibly closing the game. Each one exists for a narrow case, such as lag caused by rendering too many hearts or by entities with overly long names, and the mod lets a player act on those cases directly.
WNT also includes a fix for clickable text that unexpectedly runs commands or sends chat messages, and an interface for reaching outside the game to the Blackbox tool. The author describes it as a successor to an earlier W95 mod built with the same goal. The Blackbox feature only works on Windows and Linux, for reasons the author does not explain.
WNT is released under the MIT License and is open source. It requires Fabric API and bundles CFX inside the jar. Files cover Minecraft 1.19.2 – 1.20.2 across six release versions, and the latest file is 2.0-alpha.13 for 1.20.2, published 2023-09-25 on the alpha channel.
Key features
Rendering toggles
Specific rendering can be switched off, which helps when a particular element causes lag.
Packet filtering
Certain incoming packets can be stopped from being processed on the client.
Disconnect and forced exit
The mod can drop the current server connection or close the game process outright.
Clickable text fix
Clickable text that triggers commands or chat messages can be handled so it no longer does so.

Use cases
Diagnosing lag
Players who see slowdown from hearts or long entity names can turn off the rendering responsible.
Outside tool access
The Blackbox interface connects the game to an external tool on Windows and Linux.
Who it’s for: WNT suits technically inclined players and administrators who want niche client-side controls. Its utilities are narrow, so most players will not need them.
How it compares
Network Protocol Disconnect is a client mod with the same environment as WNT, released under the MIT License and open source. It covers Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.20.5 – 26.3, so it reaches newer versions than WNT. CTotem is a client-side mod that is open source under the Apache License 2.0, and it targets Fabric for 1.21.3 only. Lag Generator is a server-side mod for Fabric and NeoForge on 1.21, licensed under the MIT License, so it works on the opposite side from WNT.

What the author says
WNT is a client mod containing multiple utilities for the technically-inclined and administrative-inclined. It is the successor to W95, a mod I wrote ages ago with the same goal in mind. Currently, there is no way to interface with it outside of the Blackbox.
