Biolith
by Terraformers
Biolith is a server library for placing modded biomes, with settings for where and how often each biome appears in the Overworld, Nether and End.
What it does
Biolith handles biome placement and world surface generation on the server, aiming for a consistent spread of modded biomes across a world. Its settings control which noise points a biome takes, and a biome can be placed there, removed from all noise points, or replaced fully or in part. Rules for the Overworld, Nether and End are covered by the same options.
Biolith is required by 21 other mods, among them [Let's Do] BloomingNature, No Man's Land, NewWorld, Sleepy Hollows and Abundant Atmosphere, so it is usually installed as a dependency of those packs. Biome placement and surface rules can also be added through datapacks from version 2.0.0-alpha.1 onward. The library runs on the server alone, so players join without installing it. It is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source.
Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering game versions 1.19.4 – 26.3 with 25 release versions and snapshot builds. The latest file is 3.8.0-beta.1 for 26.3, dated 2026-09-23 on the beta channel, and the mod was first published on 2023-04-19 and last updated on 2026-10-12. Public source code, an issue tracker and a wiki are linked from the project.
