Campanion is a camping companion mod that adds rope bridges, rope ladders, grappling hooks, sleeping bags, lawn chairs and other outdoor items to Minecraft.

What it does

Campanion adds utilities suited to life away from home, including rope bridges and ladders for crossing and climbing terrain, grappling hooks for reaching high ground, and sleeping bags that can be used in the Nether as well as the Overworld. Lawn chairs and skipping stones are added as decorative and playful items, and leather tanning lets players process hides.

The mod requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API on Fabric. Builds are also published for Forge and Quilt. Files cover five game versions 1.16.5 – 1.19.2, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. The project is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code is public.

The mod was first published on 2021-01-22 and last updated on 2022-11-27, with the latest file for 1.19.2 on each loader. Terrestria Traverse and Cinderscapes are named by the author as companions whose biomes give more places to set up camp.

Players who explore Terrestria Traverse or Cinderscapes can set up camp with the same items in those added landscapes.
