Anvil Repairing
by Darkhax
Anvil Repairing lets players fix chipped and damaged anvils by clicking them with an iron ingot in hand, restoring one stage per click.
What it does
Anvils are often skipped as a repair option for tools and armour, since their crafting recipe is costly and experience-based repairs are capped. This mod makes repairing them practical: a player holding an iron ingot clicks a chipped or damaged anvil, and the anvil moves back one stage. Other repair items can be added through the anvilrepairing:anvil repair items item tag. Required dependencies are Bookshelf, Fabric API and Prickle. It is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only and is open source, for 1.18.2 – 26.3 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.
Key features
Iron ingot repair
Clicking a chipped or damaged anvil with an iron ingot repairs it by one stage.
Extendable repair items
The anvilrepairing:anvil repair items item tag lists the items that can repair anvils, and it can be extended.
Anvil stage tracking
Each click moves the anvil back one stage, so a fully damaged anvil needs several repairs.
