AttributeFix
by Darkhax
AttributeFix raises the caps on Minecraft's attribute values, so other mods can use the numbers they were built for.
What it does
Minecraft stores important numbers such as armor, attack damage and the maximum health of a mob in an attribute system. The system also sets a cap on each value, which keeps any single number from growing past a fixed ceiling. Most players never notice the cap, but mods that push values higher can be silently held back by it. AttributeFix raises these caps substantially, so affected mods behave the way their authors intended.
The mod covers seven attributes, including the health pool, the range a mob can follow a target across, resistance to being pushed back, and both movement and attack values. It is a library rather than a feature mod, so nothing appears in the game until another mod depends on it. Installation requires Prickle, and the mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 42 release versions, with builds covering 1.12.2 – 26.3. Client and server both run it, and the source is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, which makes it open source.
Key features
Raised max health cap
The ceiling on the max health attribute is raised, so mods that grant very large health pools keep their values.
Raised attack damage cap
Attack damage can exceed the default limit, which matters for weapon mods with high damage numbers.
Raised movement speed cap
Movement speed values are not clamped at the vanilla ceiling, so speed-based mods work as written.
Seven attributes covered
Health, mob tracking range, push resistance, speed, damage, attack rate and armor toughness all receive raised caps.
Public source and issue tracker
The source code and issue tracker are publicly linked, so bugs in the cap handling can be reported and followed.

Use cases
Running mods that exceed vanilla limits
A modpack that combines weapon or stat mods with large values can use this library so the numbers are not clipped.
Fixing silent clamping on a server
Server owners who see mob or player stats stop short of their configured values can add the library to test whether the cap is the cause.
Who it’s for: Modpack creators and server owners who run mods that change attribute values, and mod authors who want their attribute changes to take effect in the game.
How it compares
Attribute Modifier is a Forge-only mod for 1.12.2, a client and server option under a custom license, and is not open source. AttributesFix is a NeoForge mod for 1.21 – 1.21.1 under the MIT License, also client and server and not open source. Speed Limit is server-side only, runs on NeoForge 1.21.1 under the MIT License and is not open source.

What the author says
Minecraft uses an attribute system to handle important calculations. It covers everything from armor values, to attack damage, to the maximum health of a mob. This system also introduced attribute caps, which limit how high any value can be. While this usually goes unnoticed, many mods are unknowingly affected by it…
