ZoomW adds a configurable zoom key to Minecraft Java Edition, letting players view the game from a closer or wider field of view.
What it does
ZoomW lets players adjust the zoom settings: how much each scroll step changes the zoom, the smallest and largest zoom levels, the default level the mod returns to when the zoom key is released, and how smoothly the transition runs. A lower zoom increment gives finer steps, while a higher one makes zooming faster and less precise. Zoom smoothing controls how gradual the transition feels, and an instant zoom increment sets the size of immediate adjustments.
The mod is client-side only, so only the client needs it and servers run without it. It is published for Fabric and 1.21.1 only, and it requires Fabric API, Mod Menu and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL). The configuration file is created automatically on first run, and settings can be changed in game through the Mod Menu config button. The code is open source under CC0 1.0 Universal, and the latest Fabric file is 0.0.3+(Release) for 1.21.1, dated 2024-09-01.
