Werewolves

by cheaterpaul

Werewolves is a Forge and NeoForge addon for Vampirism that lets a player be cursed as a werewolf after a bite and take on beast forms.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.16.5 – 1.21.1

What it does

The mod adds a werewolf faction to Vampirism. Instead of becoming a hunter or a vampire, a player can be bitten by a werewolf and gain the werewolf curse, which allows transformation into beast forms. It is described as a faction addon rather than a standalone system, so Vampirism must be installed for anything to work. Guide-API VP and Just Enough Items (JEI) are optional companions.

Werewolves is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with source code, an issue tracker and a wiki published. It is built for client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.16.5 – 1.21.1 for Forge and NeoForge, and the latest NeoForge file is 1.21-2.0.3.4 for 1.21.

Key features

  1. Werewolf curse

A player bitten by a werewolf receives the curse and can rise as a werewolf instead of joining the hunters or vampires.

  2. Beast forms

The werewolf curse allows the player to transform into beast forms, which the mod adds on top of Vampirism.

  3. Form display rule

The werewolf form is hidden while certain other combat-related mods are installed, so it does not appear in those setups.
