Cracking Some Bones adds a food-oriented way to crack bones: players smelt bone segments into cracked versions, then combine them with bone glue.
What it does
The mod targets players who would rather not hunt skeletons for a few bones. Cracking is done through smelting, so bone segments are processed in a furnace rather than gathered from mobs. It requires Werewolves, and the Forge and NeoForge builds cover 1.20.1 – 1.21.5. Both the server and every player need the mod, and the code is published under the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 4.0 license, so it is not open source.

Smelting cracked bones
Bone segments are smelted in a furnace to produce cracked segments, skipping the search for skeletons.
Bone glue
Bone glue joins cracked segments together and can be eaten to fill hunger.
Bone glue block
A decorative bone glue block lets players place glued bone work in their builds.
