Brick Features

by selpix

Brick Features adds stone brick variants and a pickaxe action that cracks existing stone blocks into their brick forms, for Forge on 1.20.1.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

Players can right-click a block such as Stone Brick, Endstone Brick or Deepslate Brick with a pickaxe to crack it, turning the block into its cracked counterpart. Each cracking action drops bricks, and placing the bricks back restores the original block, so the change can be reversed.

The mod targets decoration builds that need worn or aged stonework. Its brick types include Cracked Endstone Bricks, Cracked Red Nether Bricks, Red Nether Brick, Deepslate Brick, Deepslate Tile and Blackstone Brick, and it is intended to make brick blocks easier to craft and decorate with. The mod is published for Forge only, on 1.20.1, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it.

The textures are derived from the official Mojang textures, modified with MCreator Sprites. The idea draws on the Immersive Weathering mod, which handles a similar kind of weathering. The mod is released under All rights reserved, and it is not open source.

  1. Pickaxe cracking

  3. Stone and deepslate bricks

Stone Brick, Deepslate Brick, Deepslate Tile and Blackstone Brick are added for building.
