VeinDigging
by Nyako
VeinDigging lets a player who holds a bound key break a connected run of matching ore, logs or other blocks in one action, with lists that control which blocks count.
What it does
VeinDigging is a server-side mod for Fabric and Quilt, released under CC0 1.0 Universal and open source. Once a player presses a bound key while breaking a block, the connected vein of the same kind comes down together. Tags and two lists decide which blocks take part: a whitelist of blocks allowed to be veined and a blacklist of blocks that are never veined. Lists can be set for a single binding, for sneaking, or globally for the whole server, and the mod also reads tags so whole groups can be added at once.
The default configuration allows only the whitelist in shifting mode, which covers logs, leaves, ores and glowstone, so a sneaking player will not veindig anything by accident. The author advises keeping that shifting whitelist on. VeinDigging needs Fabric API and Cloth Config API, and Mod Menu is optional for editing settings in the game. The server must run the mod, while players can join without installing it. Files exist for 1.19 – 26.3 on Fabric and for 1.20 – 1.21 on Quilt, with the latest Fabric file for 26.3 and the latest Quilt file for 1.21.
Key features
Bound veining keys
Bindings tie the vein action to a key, so a player can choose when a connected run of blocks is broken.
Whitelists and blacklists
Separate lists for bindings, sneaking and global use decide which block types are veined or left alone.
Tag support
Lists accept block tags, so one entry can cover a whole family of blocks instead of each block on its own.
Safe default for sneaking
The default shifting whitelist limits sneak veining to logs, leaves, ores and glowstone.

What the author says
The only whitelist on by default is the shift whitelist, which contains logs, leaves, ores and glowstone. This means people sneaking won't accidentally VeinDig anything they don't mean to. I'd recommend against turning the shifting whitelist off. Supporters get early releases of my mods, as well as special perks and…
