Trajectory Guard

by Joboblock

Trajectory Guard shows a preview line for arrows and other projectiles, so a player can see where a shot is most likely to land before firing.

FabricClient-side onlyCreative Commons Attribution 4.01.20.1

What it does

Trajectory Guard simulates the path of projectiles such as arrows and draws the predicted line along that path. The line changes color based on the projectile most likely to hit a target, and a key bound in the controls menu toggles the preview on and off. A line on the screen confirms whether the mod is switched off, since the chat text is not a reliable check.

The mod supports the Bow, Crossbow, Trident, Ender Pearl, Snowball and Egg, and works in single-player as well as multiplayer. Multiplayer servers may treat the preview as cheating, so server owners should confirm whether it is allowed before players use it. Fabric API is required, and the mod is published for Fabric only, with a single game version: 1.20.1. Its latest file is 2.3.1, released 2024-10-02, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, and it is not open source. Only the client needs it.
