TickSound
by MCclip
When the tick rate changes, TickSound retunes the pitch of game sounds so they slow down and speed up with the world, and the mod is client-side only.
What it does
TickSound adjusts the pitch of sound instances as the server changes the tick rate, so slowed or sped up time is heard as well as seen. The server sends its tick rate and frozen state to each client through ClientboundTickingStatePacket, and the client-side mixin retunes the pitch of every newly played sound instance to match the current speed. The mod does not change game logic, so it touches no server data and only processes audio on the player's machine.
Two pitch modes are available. Follow exactly mirrors the world speed one to one, so half speed gives half pitch. With limits keeps the pitch inside a configured Min and Max range, which avoids extreme lows and highs during very fast or very slow time. A separate mute option can silence affected sounds entirely while the tick is frozen.
TickSound needs Fabric API and TickTweak. The mod is published for Fabric alone, with a single version, 1.0.0+26.2, for 26.2. Its files cover 20 release versions 1.20.3 – 26.2, and versions below 1.20.3 use the vanilla tick system, where the TickRateManager mod reacts to the change. The code is under the MIT License and is not open source.
Key features
Pitch follows tick rate
Sound pitch scales with the tick rate, so slow motion sounds slow and fast forward sounds speed up.
Two pitch modes
Follow exactly applies the world speed directly, while With limits holds the pitch inside a set Min and Max range.
Mute during freeze
An optional setting silences affected sounds completely while the world is frozen.
Per-category control
Each sound group can be included or excluded individually: block effects, creature noises, footsteps, weather, jukebox playback and ambient tracks.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who use TickTweak or another tick rate control on a Fabric client, and map makers who want sound to follow time changes. Servers do not need to install it, because only the client processes audio.
How it compares
Sound Pitch is a Fabric mod for 1.21.11 with a proprietary license, and it is not open source. Better Sounds targets 1.21.8 – 26.2 on Fabric, is client-side only and is also not open source. infinote is open source under the MIT License, but it is server-side only and covers 1.16 – 26.3, so it does not change client audio.

What the author says
Sounds finally match the tick rate. Slow motion sounds slow, fast forward sounds fast, and a frozen world can go silent. Versions below 1.20.3 are not supported — the vanilla /tick system (TickRateManager) that this mod reacts to was added in 1.20.3.
