Infinite Use
by MCclip
Infinite Use keeps held items from wearing out or running down: a single command marks the item in the main hand, and from then on its stack and durability stop decreasing.
What it does
Once a held item has been marked, eating food, placing blocks, drinking potions, shooting arrows, using buckets and throwing ender pearls leave the stack count unchanged. Durability does not decrease on swords, pickaxes, shears, bows, fishing rods, crossbows or elytra, so the bar stays full. Totems of Undying keep working after each death instead of being used up, and the mod also covers end crystals, boats, eggs, snowballs and splash potions.
The mark is saved in item data: an NBT tag on older releases and a custom data component on newer ones, so it survives saving and loading. The mod runs on Fabric and needs Fabric API. It is used from a command, which requires operator permission level 2, and it works on dedicated servers. Builds are published for every release from the 1.16 line through 1.21.11, one jar per Minecraft version, and the latest file is 1.0.0 for 1.21.11.
Key features
Unlimited single-command items
One command marks the item in the main hand, and the mark carries over when the item is moved or saved.
Stacks and durability hold steady
Consumed stacks keep their count and tools keep their full durability bar, so a marked item is not spent by use.
Repeated totem protection
A totem of Undying in the marked stack can revive the player after several deaths rather than once.
Moving without duplication
Items can be moved between inventories, and the source stack is no longer reduced, so shift-clicks do not copy items.

What the author says
Make any item infinite with one command. Totems become unlimited. Blocks place forever. Tools never break. The marker is stored as an NBT tag (1.16.5–1.20.4) or as a custom DataComponent (1.20.5+), so it persists across save/load and works on dedicated servers.
