Theurgy
by klikli-dev
Theurgy adds a classical alchemy system to Minecraft, built on the elements Sulfur, Salt and Mercury instead of the four classic elements.
What it does
The mod follows the Spagyrics process group from classical alchemy. Players work through the steps of a guide book, The Hermetica, which is crafted from sand, to handle matter and build magical artifacts. The author describes the balance as sitting between the heavy automation of Equivalent Exchange and the more involved route of Thaumcraft.
Theurgy requires Geckolib and Modonomicon, which must be installed alongside it on Forge or NeoForge. Jade, Just Enough Items and Magic Particles Lib are optional and add their own features when present. Only the server and every player who joins it need the mod, since it runs on both sides. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge across 16 release versions under the MIT License. The source code is public, with an issue tracker and wiki.
