TakeASeat
by AmberFrost
TakeASeat lets players sit on blocks through a server-side rule set, with conditions that the server owner can configure in a config file.
What it does
Sitting is limited by conditions that the server checks before a player can sit down. A customizable list sets which blocks can be sat on, and the list can include blocks from other mods. Players are kept from sitting when their hand is not empty, when they are too far from the seat, or when they would suffocate. A configurable distance limit applies, and a value of 0 removes the maximum distance.
The mod is useful on exhibition servers, where it can stop people from clipping through areas they should not reach. Seat blocks that sit higher than the player can also be used, and the mod can block the path between a player and a seat, which covers teleporting into village house ceilings. Sitting can be turned on or off by editing the config file, and the full config list is opened from the mod's settings. The mod runs on the server alone, and a client does not need it.
TakeASeat requires Fabric API. It is published for Fabric and Quilt across 29 release versions, 1.19 – 26.3, and the code is under the MIT License, so the mod is open source.

Exhibition servers

What the author says
These can all be manually turned on/off or changed by editing the config file. Note that this only applies to suffocatable block, usually a full 1x1 block and not other non-suffocatable/solid block like stairs or light block. | true | boolean | | mustBeEmptyHandToSit | Whether the player must not be holding any item…
