Super Factory Manager Retro

by Saereth

Super Factory Manager Retro lets players build Super Factory Manager programs on a visual node canvas instead of writing SFML by hand, and requires Super Factory Manager.

NeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1 – 26.1.2

What it does

Players open the Disk Factory Manager to get a canvas in place of the text box. Nodes for triggers, inputs, outputs and branches can be placed, dragged and wired together, and each node can be configured with searchable items, fluids, gases, energy, redstone triggers, intervals, amounts, multiple filters per node, item tags, sides, slot ranges, round robin behavior and conditions. A comment node can be added to the graph as a note.

The editor is pluggable and works alongside the original Super Factory Manager programs. A program built on the canvas is saved as a normal SFM program, and its node layout is stored with it, so reopening the editor restores the graph. The graph editor checks the work and reports whether anything was lost. Programs can be copied as text, shared, and switched back to the text editor at any time. Before saving, a preview panel displays the exact result that will be stored, and labels placed with the label gun report how many blocks each one spans.

Super Factory Manager Retro is an addon: Super Factory Manager must be installed for it to run. The mod is published for NeoForge only, across 4 release versions, 1.21.1 and 26.1.2 among them, and the latest file is 26.1.2-1.0.3 for 26.1.2, dated 2026-10-02. Both the server and every player need it. It is released under the MIT License and is open source, with public source code and an issue tracker.

Key features

  1. Visual node canvas

Programs are assembled by dragging nodes onto a canvas and wiring them together, instead of typing SFML.

  2. Searchable node settings

Type a few letters to pick items, fluids, gases or energy from a list with icons, and set filters, amounts and tags per node.

  3. Lossless round trip

Graph layout is saved with the program, so the canvas can be reopened and the text form stays a normal SFM program.

  4. Label editing

Labels created with the label gun display how many blocks each one covers in the editor preview.

Super Factory Manager Retro runs on client and server and covers 4 release versions, 1.21.1 and 26.1.2 among them.

What the author says

An addon for Super Factory Manager that lets you write SFM programs as a node graph instead of as text. Open a Disk or a Factory Manager and you get a canvas instead of a text box. Place a trigger, chain Input and Output nodes onto it, branch with If nodes, and the SFML is written for you as you go. The preview panel…
