Connected adds quality-of-life blocks to Create, and Create is required for it to run on Forge or NeoForge.
What it does
Connected is an add-on for Create that supplies blocks Create does not include. Its features include enhanced Sequenced Gearshift and Attribute Filter blocks, functional blocks that work on contraptions, and schematics that can be sorted into sub-folders. Inventory Bridges respect their filters when pulling items through the bridge, and those filters also control which items appear in a shared stock network. Dyeing catalysts for Create: Dragons Plus accept dye colors from a supported color mod.
Each addition can be switched off in the configuration files, and a block's strength can be lowered there as well, so modpack authors can keep only the parts they want. Create must be installed, and Just Enough Items (JEI) is optional. Connected is published for Forge and NeoForge across the range 1.18.2 – 1.21.1, with builds for 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. Both sides must run it, and the code is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later.
Connected Fluid Vessel Compatability and Create Aeronautics are among the mods that require it. Support for Minecraft 1.20.1 has ended: that version will only receive critical bug fixes in its own 1.2.3 line, while the newest builds target 1.21.1.
