SkiesKits

by Stampede

SkiesKits is a Fabric server-side kits mod in which server owners define kits that players claim from a customizable menu.

FabricServer-side onlyMozilla Public License 2.0Open source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

Kits are defined in a config-driven system. Each kit can carry its own cooldown, a maximum number of uses, and requirements such as permissions or placeholder checks that decide whether a player may claim it. Actions can run after a claim, and their behavior can depend on whether the claim succeeded, on the cooldown state or on how many uses remain.

Adding a file to the kits folder, copied from an existing kit's layout, is how a new kit is set up. The author describes the number of possible kits as practically unlimited, though this has not been tested in every setup. Fuller configuration details are kept on the project wiki.

SkiesKits requires Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, which must be installed alongside it. Players join without it, since only the server has to run the mod. Files target 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and the latest Fabric build, 1.2.0 for 1.21.1, was published on 2025-10-22. The code is open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0.

Key features

  1. Customizable kits menu

Players open a menu that lists the kits they can claim, and the layout of that menu is set up by the server owner.

  2. Cooldowns per kit

Each kit has its own cooldown, so a player can claim it again only after the configured wait has passed.

  3. Maximum uses

A kit can be limited to a set number of claims, after which it can no longer be taken.

  4. Claim requirements

Requirements such as permissions and placeholder values control who may claim a kit and when.

  5. Actions after a claim

Actions run when a kit is claimed, and they can differ depending on whether the claim succeeded.
