Remember Me

by Cubo1ndev

Remember Me keeps an ordered history of spawn points for each player, so a death returns the player to the most recent point that still exists.

What it does

Vanilla Minecraft remembers only one spawn point per player. This mod tracks beds, respawn anchors and spawn set by commands, and stores up to 20 of them for each player in the world's saved data. The history survives server restarts. When a player dies, the mod checks the list from newest to oldest and sends the player to the first point that still exists, so a destroyed bed or anchor does not leave the player at the world spawn.

On both dedicated servers and single-player worlds, Remember Me is able to run. It needs Architectury API as a required dependency on both loaders. The mod is published for Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.1 only, and its environment is server-side only, so players join without installing anything. The code is open source under the MIT License, with public source code and an issue tracker.

Key features

  1. Ordered spawn history

Up to 20 spawn points are kept per player, listed from the oldest to the newest entry.

  2. Fallback on death

If the newest point is gone, the mod tries the one before it, and so on, until a valid point is found.

  3. Beds and anchors

Beds and respawn anchors are recorded as they are set, and a bed that is used again does not erase the earlier entries.

  4. Saved across restarts

The history is stored in the world's saved data and remains available after the server restarts.
