RecipeDisabler
by Nerjal_Nosk
RecipeDisabler lets a server owner switch off selected crafting and other recipes through a simple config file, without writing scripts.
What it does
The mod is a Fabric and Quilt mod for modpacks. Instead of writing KubeJS or CraftTweaker scripts, the server owner lists the recipes or resources to disable in a plain config file, and the game loads the rest as normal. Recipes that come from modded recipe types can be handled this way too, since the config works on recipe IDs rather than on script logic.
The mod checks the data folder of each mod's jar file to find the recipes it can disable, so it does not need a separate copy of the recipe list. The author recommends REI with tooltips to look up the ID of a recipe to turn off. The mod is mainly meant for modpacks that run alongside unaltered datapacks, and it has been tested only on 1.18.2 and later.
RecipeDisabler requires Fabric API. It is server-side only, so players join without installing it, and it is released under the MIT License as open source. Files exist for 1.18.2 and 1.19, with version 1.3.2 as the latest file for 1.19 on both Fabric and Quilt, published on 2022-09-13.
Key features
Config-based disabling
Disabled recipes and resources are listed in a simple config file, so no scripting language is needed.
Modded recipe types
The disabler is not limited to vanilla recipe types, and it can target recipes added by other mods.
Data folder scan
Recipes are found by reading the data folder inside each mod jar, which keeps the setup short.
Datapack compatibility
The mod is meant to run alongside unaltered datapacks, leaving them unchanged.

How it compares
CraftTweaker is a Fabric, Forge and NeoForge mod that runs on client and server and is released under the MIT License, with files for 1.3.2 – 1.21.1. It uses scripts rather than a config file, so it covers more than disabling recipes. KubeJS is a Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt mod that is client or server optional, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, with files for 1.18.2 – 26.1.2. RecipeDisabler is server-side only, under the MIT License, for 1.18.2 – 1.19.

What the author says
A simple Minecraft Fabric mod allowing to make the game not load some specific recipes/resources, without having to use some complex KubeJS/CraftTweaker script when trying to handle modded recipe types. For Minecraft 1.18.2+ (Never tested earlier versions, and probably never will)
