PolyTime (Time Changer)
by Polyfrost
With PolyTime, players set the time of day they see on their own client, without changing the time the server keeps.
What it does
PolyTime changes the time of day shown on the client. A slider picks any time of day, and the ] and [ keys move the time forward and back; both keys can be rebound. The server's actual time is not touched, so other players keep their own view of the world.
The mod can also follow the real local clock, so sunrise and sunset match the player's location, and it can show the real moon phase. Those options sit alongside the manual controls in the mod's settings. PolyTime needs OneConfig and Fabric Language Kotlin, and OneConfig is bundled inside the mod. Files exist for Fabric and Ornithe, with Forge builds on 1.12.2 only. Fabric's latest file is v1.3.2 for 26.3, and Ornithe's is v1.3.2 for 1.8.9.

Use cases
Screenshots at a chosen hour
Players set a fixed time of day before taking pictures of builds or landscapes.
Matching a real day
Players who want the world to follow their own clock use the real local time option.
Who it’s for: Players who want a different time of day on their own screen, such as for screenshots or for a sky that matches where they live. Server owners do not need to install it because only the client runs it.
How it compares
TeamColors and FOV Changer are both client-side open source mods for Fabric and Ornithe across 1.8.9 – 26.3 under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so they change team colors and field of view rather than time. Weather Changer is also client-side and open source, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, with files for Fabric, Forge and Quilt across its supported releases. PolyTime is not open source and uses a custom license.
