Pipez
by henkelmax
Pipez adds item, fluid, energy and gas pipes with filters, upgrades and a universal pipe that combines all four types.
What it does
Pipes move items, fluids, energy and, with Mekanism installed, gases between blocks. A pipe only transfers when it is set to extract; a wrench sneak-click on the end of a connected pipe switches it to extract, and a sneak-click on a pipe disconnects or reconnects it. Pipes are slow by default, and speed rises only when an upgrade is added, with higher upgrade tiers giving higher transfer rates. Certain features require an upgrade of a high enough tier.
Every configuration and filter is stored inside the upgrade, and crafting two upgrades together copies that data to the other one. Pipez is client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge across 29 release versions, 1.19 – 26.3, and the page lists Jade, Just Enough Items (JEI) and The One Probe as optional dependencies, with Mekanism as an optional addition. The code is not open source; the mod is under All rights reserved, though the source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Item, fluid and energy pipes
Separate pipe types move items, fluids and energy, and Mekanism adds gas pipes on top of them.
Universal pipe
The universal pipe carries every feature of the other pipes, and tabs on the left of its screen choose which type to configure.
Item, fluid and gas filters
Filters apply to item, fluid and gas pipes, and a filter can be set to match the exact NBT data of an item.
Inverted and whitelist filters
A filter can be inverted to apply the exact opposite of its data, and whitelist and blacklist modes are available.
Redstone modes
Each pipe has three redstone modes: ignore the signal, run when powered, or stop when powered.

Use cases
Automated factories
Pipes link machines so that items, fluids and energy move without manual transport.
Large modpacks
Filters and upgrades let a base distribute resources along long pipe networks.
Who it’s for: Players building automated bases in modded worlds, and server owners who want pipe networks with fine-grained item control.
How it compares
Pipe Connector runs on Forge and NeoForge for 1.19.2 – 26.1.2 under the MIT License and is open source. Tiny Pipes covers 1.20 – 26.3 with Forge and NeoForge and is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Mekanism Covers is open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, and is a different kind of addition, adding cover blocks rather than transport.

What the author says
This mod adds simple and highly configurable pipes that are designed to create as little lag as possible. Pipes don't transfer anything if they are not set to extract. You can sneak-click onto the end of a connected pipe with a wrench to set it to extract.
