Pipez Optimizer
by Saku_rain
Pipez Optimizer is an unofficial add-on to Pipez that rebuilds how pipes move items, fluids and energy so servers spend less time on repeated inventory checks.
What it does
Pipez Optimizer replaces parts of the Pipez transfer logic. Round Robin distribution is rebuilt around a mathematical splitting method instead of repeated simulated extractions, and the other distribution modes are improved mainly through faster filter checking. Pipes that fail to extract or insert, for example because the target inventory is full, enter a sleep state rather than rechecking every tick, and they remember the last inventory slot they worked with so large inventories are not scanned again from the start. The add-on also gives server owners a custom extraction frequency feature that can be switched off for item, fluid or energy pipe types through a configuration file.
The mod adds three endgame upgrades, the ATM Upgrade, the Vibranium Upgrade and the Unobtainium Upgrade, which provide very high transfer rates and capacity boosts for heavy modpacks. Crafting them requires the Allthemodium mod, while installed alternative recipes become available automatically when it is absent. A minimalist configuration panel is added to the native Pipez screen. Pipez is required, and Ender IO: Evolution is optional. The mod runs on Forge and NeoForge for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1, with builds for 1.19.2, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. It is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Sleeping pipes
Pipes that cannot extract or insert pause and wait instead of repeating useless checks each tick.
Slot memory
Pipes remember the last inventory slot they interacted with, so large inventories are not scanned from the beginning.
Optimized distribution
Round Robin mode uses a mathematical splitting method, and other modes gain faster filter checking.
Endgame upgrades
Three new high-tier upgrades add extremely high transfer rates and capacity boosts for pipes.
