Personal Rules
by rvbsm
Personal Rules lets each player hold their own gamerule values on a server, so a player's keepInventory or other rule can differ from the world setting.
What it does
Personal rules are set and read with a command that works like the standard gamerule command, with only small differences in syntax. A personal rule left unset falls back to the world gamerule, so players who never use the command see no change. Resetting a personal rule returns the player to the world value.
Each rule has a permission level range from 0 to 5. Level 0 lets everyone change the rule, level 5 disables it for everyone, and the values true and false apply to ops. Server owners set these levels in a Carpet-like configuration file, and the file can be reloaded with a permission command. Using the permissions command requires permission level 2.
The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing anything, while the server needs it to run the feature. It is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric and Quilt for 1.21.4 – 1.21.8, with 1.1.0 for 1.21.8 as the latest build.
Key features
Per-player gamerules
Each player can configure gamerule values for themselves, independent of the world settings.
Server-wide keepInventory
The keepInventory rule can be applied per player, which extends the rule beyond a single world setting.
Reset to world values
A personal rule can be cleared so that the player falls back to the world gamerule.
Permission levels per rule
A configuration file assigns each gamerule a permission level from 0 to 5, controlling who may change it.
Configuration reload
The permission configuration can be reloaded from a command without restarting the server.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who want individual players to hold their own gamerule values, and who can edit a configuration file and grant permission level 2 to the people who manage rules.

What the author says
Gamerules, but personal! No more server-wide keepInventory! The mod is server-side, client installation is not required (unless you want to use it in a singleplayer).
