Particle Interactions
With Particle Interactions installed, placing a block, stripping a log or sprinting over certain blocks produces particles that vanilla does not show, such as snowflakes, petals and fireflies.
What it does
The mod adds particles to more everyday interactions in the game. Each particle group is tied to a set of blocks: snow blocks, snow layers and powder snow release snowflakes, firefly bushes release fireflies, and cherry leaves, cherry saplings and pink petals release petals. Leaves, azaleas, flowers and vines each have their own effect, and block breaking, placing and sprinting can all trigger block particle overrides.
Every group can be configured, and the mod runs in the client alone. Particle Interactions needs Fabric API, Mod Menu and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), and Mod Menu also serves as the settings screen. The mod is available for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, with files covering 1.21 – 26.3 and snapshot builds published for the newest releases. The code is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0, and the project is not open source.
Key features
Snowflake particles
Snow blocks, snow layers and powder snow show snowflake particles by default.
Leaf particles
Pine, generic and azalea leaves each have their own particle group, and birch and spruce leaves share the pine effect.
Flower and vine petals
Flowers, bushes, cave vines, twisting vines and weeping vines release petal particles.
Block break and placement effects
Particles can also be set for the moment a block is broken or placed, or when running over a surface, through block particle overrides.

Use cases
Decorating builds
Builders who want ambient particles around snow, flowers or foliage can enable those groups in the settings.
Who it’s for: Players who run the game on their own client and want more visual detail in ordinary block interactions. The mod does not change anything on the server, so a server admin does not need to install it.
