Not Enough Revives

by SirTerminator

Not Enough Revives lets a knocked player stay in the fight while friends come to help, instead of dying outright when health runs out.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

When a player goes down, the mod places them in a knocked state where the server allows it, and the player chooses between two options: wait to be revived, or give up. A knocked player glows with an outline for a few seconds while calling for help, and a sound plays with directional volume that depends on the distance to the listener. If no one reaches them, the player bleeds out.

Players can upload their own audio files through the in-game interface, use sounds with changed pitch, and change the outline colors. A config file lets server owners adjust the mod's values. Not Enough Revives runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and is published for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with 1.0.1 for 1.21.1 on Fabric and NeoForge and 1.0.2 for 1.20.1 on Forge. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Client and server both need it, so the server and every player must install it.

Key features

  1. Knocked state

Instead of dying at once, a downed player enters a knocked state where the server allows it, and picks one of two options.

  2. Help calls with outline

A knocked player glows with an outline for a few seconds while calling for help, so nearby friends can spot them.

  3. Directional sound

The call plays as a sound whose volume depends on the distance between the caller and the listener.

  4. Custom audio and outline colors

Players can upload their own audio, use pitch-shifted sounds and change the outline colors through the in-game interface.
