No Littering
by BlayTheNinth
With No Littering installed, trees on a new world no longer come with leaf litter scattered on the ground beneath them.
What it does
No Littering removes leaf litter from world generation, so the ground under trees stays clear when a world is created. Leaf litter is not lost entirely: punching a tree produces it around the trunk, and repeated punches add more piles, with the chance of each drop set in the configuration file. Only the server needs the mod, so players join without installing anything.
The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.21.5 – 26.3 across 12 release versions, and snapshot builds are published as well. Balm is required on every loader, and Fabric API is required on Fabric. The code is not open source; the author holds all rights, and public links exist for the source code, the issue tracker and the wiki.
Key features
Leaf litter removed from generation
Trees in newly generated terrain no longer place leaf litter on the ground around them.
Litter from punching trees
Punching a tree drops leaf litter around its base, so the material is still available to collect.
Stacking piles
Continued punching builds up leaf litter piles naturally in the area around the trunk.
Configurable drop chance
The chance that punching a tree creates leaf litter can be changed in the configuration file.
Compatibility

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who want forests without ground litter, and players who prefer to collect leaf litter by punching trees rather than finding it in the world.
