MonoLib

by jason13official

Developers who write several mods often copy the same helpers, and MonoLib is a library that gathers that shared code for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge projects.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverThe UnlicenseOpen source1.19 – 26.1.2

What it does

MonoLib provides event callbacks, commands, registration binding and other utility code that its authors reuse across their projects. It is a library rather than a gameplay mod, so it adds no content of its own, and it has to be present on the client and the server alongside the mods that depend on it.

The library is the base for 21 other catalog mods, including Dis-Enchanting Table, Animal Armor Trims - Horse & Wolf, More Beautiful Torches, Golden Foods! and EnderPack. Builds exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with the latest files for 26.1.2 and 1.20.1, both published on 2026-10-03. The authors say the library is kept current for their own projects.

The code is released under The Unlicense, so the mod is open source and its source code and issue tracker are public. The mod was first published on 2024-03-13 and last updated on 2026-10-03, and it is one of 704 Library mods with Fabric files for 26.1.2.

Key features

  1. Event callbacks

Shared callback hooks let other mods react to game events through one common interface.

  2. Command utilities

Helpers for registering and organizing commands are included, so dependent mods do not each write the same setup.

  3. Registration binding

Code for binding registry entries is gathered in one place, reducing repetition across projects.

  4. Shared utility code

General-purpose helpers from the author's projects are packaged together for reuse.
