Animal Armor Trims - Horse & Wolf
by Lupin
Horse and wolf armor can now carry the same trims as player armor, applied in an ordinary smithing table.
What it does
Instead of placing a piece of player armor, a player uses a trim on horse armor or wolf armor. The trim works as it does on vanilla gear, so the animal's armor takes on the chosen pattern and material. Horse armor takes trims in every release listed, while wolf armor takes them from 1.20.6, the version that added it.
Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. It requires MonoLib, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20 – 26.1.2. Its code is all rights reserved and is not open source.
Key features
Horse armor trims
Horse armor accepts the same trims as vanilla player armor, so a mount can match the rest of a player's gear.
Wolf armor trims
Wolf armor can be trimmed from 1.20.6 onward, with the trims applied through the standard smithing process.
Vanilla-style application
Trims are applied the same way as on player armor, and all vanilla trim patterns and materials are available.

What the author says
You can now use your trims to modify the appearance of horse and wolf armor (in 1.20.6 and later)! The functionality is simple, and very similar to the vanilla function of the trims. Simply, instead of putting on a piece of player armor, put on any of the horse or wolf armor!
