Magnetizing
by __Comma
Magnetizing adds magnetite ore and magnet items and blocks that pull or push entities and dropped items within a set range.
What it does
Magnetite ore generates in the world in a way similar to iron ore, and magnetite ingots are combined with lapis lazuli and redstone to craft magnets. A blue magnetite ingot gives a negative pole that repels entities, while a red magnetite ingot gives a positive pole that attracts them. Players can use these magnets to ease farming or to build new redstone contraptions.
The mod covers two families of magnets. Entity magnets act on an area: their range is a square five blocks across by default, and right-clicking the block cycles it to a line ten blocks long in one direction. Item magnets work like block magnets but act only on items on the ground, fitting the inventory for picking up many items at once and pushing them away. Sneaking while right-clicking with an item changes the item magnet's range. The mod runs on client and server, so both sides need it. Magnetizing is published for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, and requires Architectury API, Fabric API and Forge Config API Port.
