EnchantedBookLib
by __Comma
EnchantedBookLib is a library for mod authors who write one codebase for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, bundling registry, networking, event and config helpers.
What it does
The library gathers shared tools for building one mod on several loaders: a registry API for registering content, a networking API for sending packets between client and server, a small collection of events, and collection helpers that include some tags. A JSON5 config API is also included, so a mod built on it can read and write settings in that format.
The mod itself adds no gameplay content of its own. It is meant for developers, and installing it alone changes nothing visible in a world. Fabric API is required, and the library is published for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt across two game versions, 1.21.1 and 1.21.4. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too.
Builds for 1.21.1 and 1.21.4 are open source under the MIT License, and public links exist for the source code, the issue tracker and a wiki. The first file was published on 2024-12-31 and the latest on 2025-02-04, both listed as beta.

How it compares
Deadly Entity Data is also a Fabric and NeoForge library, open source under the MIT License, but its published build covers only 1.21.1 and it adds entity data handling rather than the full set of registry, networking and config helpers. LMCommonCore is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and spans Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, so it reaches older versions and includes Forge. Architectury API covers Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.16.5 – 26.3 under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.

What the author says
EnchantedBookLib is a both Fabric and NeoForge library mod which tries to make multiplatform just a bit easier (and mostly for my mods). This mod doesn't add anything on its own.
