Long Distanse Touch

by FrostPierce

Long Distanse Touch, a Fabric mod, lifts the fixed interaction distance so that players can attack and break blocks far beyond vanilla reach.

FabricClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

Long Distanse Touch removes the hardcoded interaction distance limit in the game. The crosshair raycast range is increased from 6 to 1024 blocks, so attacks on entities and right-click interactions with blocks can reach targets much farther away. Targets must still lie within the render distance, so the reach does not extend to chunks the player cannot see.

The mod disables the client-side distance limits and the server-side distance validation, which is why it must run on both sides. It is written for Fabric and is published for 1.21.1 – 1.21.11. Fabric API is optional, and the mod runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.

Interaction is handled through custom packets, which add some network overhead compared with vanilla. The mod is aimed at players and server owners who want longer reach in a survival, creative or adventure world without changing other rules.

Key features

  1. Extended crosshair raycast

The crosshair raycast range grows from 6 to 1024 blocks, so distant blocks and entities can be targeted.

  2. Long-range attacks

Entities can be attacked from far away, as long as they lie within the render distance of the player.

  3. Remote block interaction

Right-clicking a block far away breaks or places it, using the same rules as nearby interaction.

  4. Removed distance checks

Client-side distance limits and server-side distance validation are disabled, so the longer reach is accepted.

What the author says

Infinite reach – but only within your render distance. A lightweight Fabric mod that removes the hardcoded interaction distance limit. Attack entities, break blocks, or place blocks at any range — as long as the target is inside your render distance.
