Jockey API
by AvatarKage
Jockey API is a lightweight library that lets other mods define custom entity jockeys through data tags.
What it does
The library lets a mod declare which entities can ride which others, without writing that logic from scratch. Mount-and-ride matching is set in data tags, so a dependent mod can register new jockey pairs by listing them. The target entities are handled by the library's pathfinding, which lets a valid jockey find a matching target and mount it. Jockey API runs on the server alone, so players join without installing it. Files target 1.20 – 1.21.8 for Forge and NeoForge, and the library is released under All rights reserved.
