Immersive Armor

by AvatarKage

Immersive Armor changes how worn armor works, so wearing a full set of four pieces redirects damage and reduces the effect of falls and Warden attacks.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 26.2

What it does

Players who wear all four armor pieces get a defensive effect that redirects incoming damage, and the mod also reduces falling damage and the damage taken from Warden attacks. Leather armor is part of the same change, and Elytra, pumpkins and skulls can count as a worn armor piece. The goal is a more realistic feel for Minecraft armor.

Immersive Armor is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with a data pack build for server platforms. It is server required and client optional: the server must run it, while players may add it without losing the effect on a server that runs it. Files span 17 release versions, with 2.0.1 for 26.2 as the latest file, dated 2026-08-04. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Full set bonus

Wearing four armor pieces makes incoming damage redirect instead of landing on the player in the usual way.

  2. Falling damage reduction

Falls cause less damage to a player who is wearing armor, which changes how drops from height are handled.

  3. Warden attack changes

Attacks from the Warden deal reduced damage to players in armor, making deep-dark encounters less punishing.

  4. Extra armor sources

Leather armor, Elytra, pumpkins and skulls can count as armor pieces toward the full set.

Use cases

Survival and exploration

Players who explore caves and the deep dark can rely on armor for protection against falls and Warden attacks.

Who it’s for: Server owners who want armor to matter more in survival, and players who prefer a more realistic armor system without installing a client-side mod.

What the author says

Wish your Minecraft armor could be a bit more realistic? Now it can! This simple quality of life mod makes it so that wearing all four armor pieces negates all damage by redirecting it to the armor. NOTE: Elytras, pumpkins, and skulls do not count as an armor piece.
