Inventory Management
by Roundaround
With one click, Inventory Management sorts a container or the player's inventory, alphabetically or in creative-menu order, and transfers stacks between them.
What it does
Buttons added to inventories and containers sort items, move whole inventories into each other, and top up existing stacks. Each of these actions runs on a single click, and each can be switched off separately in the config. A master switch turns the mod off entirely, hiding its buttons.
The mod suits players who keep long storage chains, and servers that want sorting without a command. Hotbar swapping lets a player hold a key and scroll a full main-inventory row into the hotbar. Item durability alerts warn when gear runs low, and can replace a tool just before it breaks. Fabric API is required on every loader, and the mod is released under the MIT License, so the code is open source. It is published for 1.18.2 – 26.3 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. Both the server and each player's client need the mod for multiplayer, while single-player players install it on the client.
Key features
Sort with one click
Sorts any container or the player's inventory, alphabetically or in creative-menu order.
Transfer all
Moves one inventory into another in a single click, using place all or take all.
Auto-stack
Fills partial stacks in a container that match incoming items, leaving other slots untouched.
Locked slots
Ctrl or Cmd with a click protects a slot, so sorting, transferring and stacking skip it.
Hotbar swapping
Holding a key while scrolling swaps a full main-inventory row into the hotbar.
Durability alerts
Warns when gear runs low, with an optional auto-replace just before a tool breaks.
Smart grouping
Keeps variant families such as all wool colors or all planks together when sorting.

Use cases
Organizing storage chests
One click sorts a chest, and auto-stack consolidates partial stacks across a storage base.
Emptying a backpack into a chest
Transfer all moves everything from one inventory to another in a single action.
Keeping gear ready
Durability alerts and auto-replace keep a favorite tool in hand as it wears down.
Who it’s for: Players with large storage setups who want sorting and transfer buttons, and server owners who want these tools without extra commands. Players on Forge, NeoForge, Fabric or Quilt can all use it.
