With Axolotl Buckets, an axolotl in a bucket shows its own icon, changing with its color and age so players can tell them apart in the inventory.

What it does

Each bucket of axolotl is drawn with a different icon depending on the color and age of the axolotl inside, so a young blue axolotl looks distinct from an adult of another color. The mod is client-side only, so only the client needs it. It requires Fabric API and is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with the latest files for 26.3.

    Buckets show a distinct icon for each axolotl color, so the variant is visible at a glance.

    Baby and adult axolotls get separate icons, shown in the inventory slot of each bucket.

  3. Optional resource pack

    A built-in resource pack in the Resource Packs screen swaps in smaller bucket art for players on a particular vanilla pack setup.
