Ice and Fire

With Ice and Fire installed, dragons join the world as adult creatures that can be hunted, tamed and ridden, with fire and ice variants alongside a newer lightning type.
What it does
Ice and Fire adds dragons and other mythical creatures to Minecraft Java Edition. Fire dragons breathe flame and roam most habitable terrain, while ice dragons live in the coldest biomes and freeze their prey. Both types spawn naturally as adults, and lightning dragons, which are nocturnal and strike with bolts, were added in 2.0.0. Dragon skeletons appear in desert biomes, roosts and caverns hold fights and treasure, and dragon eggs are found inside dragon caves.
The mod runs on Forge and NeoForge for game versions 1.10.2 – 1.20.1, with files for nine release versions in that range. Citadel is required, so it must be installed next to the mod. Ice and Fire is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and the mod is set to client and server, so the server and every player need it. The latest file, 2.1.13-1.20.1-beta-5, was published on 2024-08-15 on the beta channel.
