GUI Effect Timer
by Serilum
Players who drink potions or stand in lava with fire resistance see GUI Effect Timer add a countdown beneath each effect badge on the screen, so the exact moment an effect runs out is visible.
What it does
Each effect badge on the HUD gets a line of text showing the time left, with short labels for the larger units. The value is refreshed every tick, so the countdown stays accurate while the player moves or fights. Infinite effects, such as those set by commands, show the infinite value instead of a number.
The timer text colour is set in the config file through three RGB channels, each ranging from 0 to 255. The default is white, and any other colour, such as pure gold at 255, 215, 0, can be chosen. The mod needs Collective, and it runs on the client alone, so servers do not install it. GUI Effect Timer is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the code is not open source; it is released as All rights reserved.
Key features
Countdown under each badge
A timer line appears beneath every active effect badge, showing the remaining duration as it counts down.
Abbreviated time units
Durations are shown with short labels for seconds, minutes, hours and days, so long effects stay readable.
Per-tick updates
The displayed time is recalculated every tick, so the value matches the effect's real remaining duration.
Configurable text colour
The red, green and blue channels of the timer text can each be set from 0 to 255 in the config, with white as the default.
Infinite effect support
Effects given an infinite duration by commands are labelled as infinite rather than showing a countdown.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want to read effect durations directly on the HUD, and those who prefer a timer in a custom colour. Only the client needs the mod, so it suits single-player and multiplayer clients alike.
