GraphUtil
by tr7zw
GraphUtil extends the F3 debug graphs with extra display options for tracking frame-time performance on the client.
What it does
The mod adds settings to the F3 graphs so frame times are easier to read. The frame-time graph can show minimum, maximum and average values with decimal places, and a line marks the average. Graphs can be scaled to the minimum and maximum so they stay legible when times sit in the low-millisecond range.
Graphs can be kept visible on the debug screen without pressing ALT+SHIFT+F3 each time. The TPS graph can be hidden, and graph lines are limited to their box so they no longer fill the screen. The mod requires Fabric API on Fabric and runs on the client only. Files are published for Fabric and Forge, for game versions 1.18 – 1.20.1, under a custom license that is not open source.
Key features
Frame time statistics
Minimum, maximum and average frame times are shown with decimal places on the debug graph.
Average line
A line on the graph marks the average frame time, making drift easier to spot.
Adaptive graph scaling
The graph can scale to the minimum and maximum values so small differences remain visible.
Always-visible graphs
Graphs can stay on the debug screen without the ALT+SHIFT+F3 shortcut.
Bounded graph lines
Graph lines stay inside their box, and the TPS graph can be hidden.

Use cases
Finding frame spikes
Players tuning a client can compare minimum, maximum and average frame times to locate stutter.
Low-millisecond readings
Scaling the graph to the minimum and maximum keeps readings under 5 ms readable.
Who it’s for: Players and modpack authors who investigate client performance with the F3 debug screen.
How it compares
Dark Graph is client-side only and open source under the BSD 3-Clause License, with files for Fabric and Quilt across 1.18.1 – 1.21.11. Random Assistant runs on client and server, is open source under the MIT License and covers 1.19.3 – 1.20 on Fabric. Server Tick is server-side only and open source under the MIT License, targeting Fabric for 1.16 – 1.20.2, so it measures the server instead of the client.
